Definition Of
Narrative Text
Narrative Text
is text which retell stories in the past events. Narrative text focus in some
specific participant that have several structural features which making
different from other genre. Narrative text has social function to entertain the
readers.
Kind of Narrative Text : Fable, Myths,
Legend, Fairy Tale, etc.
b.
Generic
Structure
- Orientation
Introducing the
participant and informing the time and the place. It also introduce some
characters involved in this genre.
- Complication
Describing the
rising crises which the participants have to do with or among participants
relationship in a process of social interaction.
- Resolution
Showing the way
of participant of solve the crises, better or worse. The end can be open ended
or close ended. Open ended is a conclusion that depends in the perception of
the readers.
- Coda
Coda which
summarizes the point of the story and mral message we may get.

Definition
Descriptive Text
is a text that explains something from the objects being described or located
which is called spatial organization. In short, In descriptive text you
must make the location of the object being described very clear.

Topic Sentence : A main sentence in a
descriptive text, usually built into three parts, they are: Complete sentence,
most general, controlling idea.

Supporting
Sentence : The sentence which
support the main sentence or topic sentences in the descriptive text.

Concluding
Sentence : Concluding sentence is a
sentence which conclude all of the main idea in each paragraph in the descriptive
text, usually divide into four : Summary, Logical Conclusion, Suggestion
(Recommendation), and Prediction.
